Everybody has a story.
In-person and virtual psychotherapy in Philadelphia and New York.
Feel connected to yourself, and others. Are you attempting to manage feelings that have been building up over time? You may be living with anxiety and depression, generally feeling stuck, and/or are trying to manage the personalities of people around you. Perhaps you aren’t quite sure how to talk about what’s happening; but something doesn’t feel right—things just feel off. During times like this, talking to a professional can help.
I have niche specialized experience working with medical professionals such as physicians, nurses and medical trainees and directed a program aimed at understanding burnout. Within this demographic, examining the medical “home” is explored, as well as other parts of life; this type of work is not always linear even though the presenting issue revolves around the workplace. I work with young adults, parents, college and graduate students including international students. I also see professionals in general, such as lawyers. I am also excited to offer friendship therapy. I meet with friendship dyads (two of you!) to work on healing, maintaining and elevating this very special type of bond. You can learn more by clicking the “Friendship Therapy” tab. My therapy approach is collaborative in nature, and I am engaged and active during the sessions. |
I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental, emotionally rich and confidential environment for individuals to explore what’s on their mind. After getting a feel for the salient issues at hand, we consider how to manage symptoms. I believe everyone has a story, and beginnings matter; therefore, we also explore where and why these symptoms started. This includes thinking about early childhood; family, friends, and environments that all play a role in who we are. I strive to think about your family and friends in a dynamic way, understanding and absorbing the “good” and the “not-so-good.”
I formulate your story from a psychodynamic orientation with the belief that the past influences the present and operate from a relational lens (relationships influence well-being), though I have experience using cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness techniques. I am a lifelong learner, always adding to my repertoire and seeking out meaningful experiences that expand my expertise. My private practice serves Pennsylvania, New York, and other states that are supported by PsyPact. I have in-person offices in Philadelphia and New York City. I consider the therapeutic relationship incredibly important, and finding the right fit is a special thing. I offer a free 15-minute consultation and look forward to speaking with you. |
Working with the right therapist can be transformative and have a lasting impact, even after treatment is over. |
Thoughtful and engaging psychological care.As a generalist I have training to meet with a wide variety of individuals. I also collaborate with other providers, such as couples and family therapists, nutritionists, and medical doctors including psychiatrists. I see client care through a holistic lens.
